Summer holiday in Cappadocia

Cappadocia, the ancient and modern name for a remarkable region in Central Anatolia. It is a geological Wonderland, which is a smaller triangle area urgup and Avanos and Nevsehir. The settlements in Cappadocia were built mostly in the valleys of Goreme, Ihlara and Soganli. The most intensive settlement was located near the town of Goreme. It is now possible to see many churches today in the area in an open-air museum.
It is estimated that there are more than 600 in the rock-cut churches in Cappadocia. Walls were covered with the beautiful frescoes. In churches where it was not plastered, the painting has been comprehensive. The prevailing color of this style was red ochre. The first old structure that appears before us, is the monastery of the Virgin. The monastery belonging to the first half of the 11th century, and is an interesting building of six stores. The Church is appears with the Apple, one of the most important churches in Göreme, in sight. The Church, which is planned in the form of a closed Greek cross, ends with three abscissae.

The Church with the Sandalwood is located in the far north of the Valley. In the Valley of Ihlara obtained derogation from the Aksaray-Nevsehir Street, there are 36 churches, each of which is more interesting than the other.
